At 6 months in, I'm having to hear more and more
unsolicited comments about my shoes. Yes, my shoes! You guys know how much I love my stiletto shoes. My closet is filled with 3-4" heels in every color. (My love started when I was probably about ten. My mom had a closet full of them back then and my favorite pair were her deep purple Candies mules that I loved. I would try them on and clip clop around my room and then ever so carefully try to put them right back in the same spot so I wouldn't get in trouble! *lol*) Well, it seems that a lot of the women I come in to contact with have an issue with me continuing to wear high heels. Now I know this is my first pregnancy and people are more than happy to offer up their advice and share their experiences with me....but you will not BELIEVE how many STRANGERS take one look at my feet and say "you shouldn't be wearing those shoes". Huh?? I quickly look at my shoes

and say, "why not?" The common response is, "what if you fall?" Okay people lookie here...I've been wearing high heels since HIGH SCHOOL. I've got this! My doctor gave me a laundry list of things I should stop doing or avoid, and surprise--wearing high heels did NOT make the list. I could see if it was a genuine concern of theirs but half of these women have disgusted looks on their faces when they comment. It makes me wonder what their REAL motivation is. Another version of the comment is: "I don't know how you walk in those shoes". *sigh* Well maybe you should practice. I mean really...what do they want from me?? *lol* These are the same people who insisted that they too wore high heels everyday when they first started working here but after a couple of weeks, I'll end up putting away my heels too. Ummmm...well, it's been almost a year and I'm STILL prancing around in my super cute stilettos, so THERE!

Today, it happens to be my 4" Steve Madden Luxe Mary Janes. Aren't they cute??? I quite like them very much! These are a bit higher than I normally wear for work so I know I'm going to get more comments than usual. Lawd...give me the strength to ignore folks and not look for hidden messages in their "concern" for my baby's well being. hahahaha! Have a wonderful day...it's IDOL TUESDAY! GOOOOOOO ANOOP DOG!!
