94 Bottles of Beer on the Wall...

...you take one down and pass it around.... *lol* Okay, I'm having beer withdrawals. It's bad enough that I can't have a cold one with my hotwings but it's even worse that folks DRINK THEM IN FRONT OF ME! I won't name any names. AL. MOM. Okay, I lied!! I'm calling you out for it! *lol*

So it's not 94 bottles of beer but 94 DAYS until K.Rae arrives! In just 3 short months, our little care bear will be here. WHAT WILL I DO WITH HER??? When we were in St. Louis, I told Al that I'd rather be getting a new puppy (like Sasha & Malia's new puppy...have you SEEN the Obamas' new little puppy?? Check out Bo Obama here) and of course he had a heart attack! I explained that I know puppies. But this whole baby business is uncharted territory for me. I've never even held a baby (at least not as an adult)! I've never had the desire. Al has tried to get me to hold 2 babies so far, but I declined. The way I see it is, I've gone 36 years without it so the first baby I will hold will be my own. He joked that I should practice with other people's babies in case I drop them before I get the hang of it! *lol* Everybody says "it'll just come to you"...so that's what we're banking on.

Okay, so....six months in and I FEEL GREAT. I still have problems with walking for extended periods of time and I get out of breath more often but other than that, I feel great. I never had morning sickness and I managed to avoid even catching a cold (so far). I used to get mild headaches almost daily but even those have stopped. My pregnancy books prepared me for having all kinds of "common" stuff to deal with: yeast infections (nope), bladder infections (nadda), constipation (zilch), hemorrhoids(thank GOD, no!), sore breasts (only during the 1st 2 months), etc. etc. Basically, if I didn't have this big belly I wouldn't believe I was pregnant. One thing that the books talked about but didn't really explain is the dark ring around my belly button and the dark line to my ummmm...region. What is this???

My books say that some women get it and some don't...but it doesn't say WHY. And to top it off, mine is a HAIRY RING! I would like to know what purpose this dark, hairy ring is serving in my pregnancy. More importantly, will it GO AWAY?!? Answers? Anyone? :)

Hi Karoline,
Sorry to say,'the line'stays. Now I ask how many mothers ran to the bathroom to check to see if they have 'the line'?
Now the hairy belly button thing, clueless on that one. Love your blog.
Love Aunt Ursula

It's called:

**linea nigra**

When I was pregnant with DJ, the line was super dark and it lightened up after a few months of delivery.

With this baby, the black line is back!

I think the line may always be there but, just might lighten up over time.

I've tried palmers and ummm that didn't work just in case you were wondering :)

p.s. you look FABULOUS!!!!!

Here's the link about the line:

Thanks all!! Tasha sent me the same explanation to my email because she couldn't post. So I guess this means no more belly exposing tops for me!!! Wait--I'm almost 36 and a MOMMY, I have no business in belly exposing tops anymore anyway!!!

Hi Aunt Ursula...I still need to get to the mail box *sigh*. I'm glad you're liking the blog!

And mom, quit crying! *lol* People will think you're looney because you can't blame it on the pregnancy hormones!! :)

Have a wonderful day!!!
