Happy Monday!

I know it's going to be a wonderful Monday when I can drive in to work at 8:00 a.m. with the windows down and have 75 degree weather to greet me! Finally, Spring has arrived!

Our weekend was great! I started it off a little early with a (dry) happy hour with a couple of my friends. I've known these ladies for about 10 years now and we spent a good 3 hours catching up on what's been happening because we haven't ALL been together for probably 6 or 7 years! Cathy and I get together a few times a year for the occasional happy hour or get together but Julie lives clear across the U.S. in North Cackalacky so that explains why I don't see her anymore. Anyway, we didn't skip a beat and had a wonderful time catching up and reminiscing. I thought the picture was hilarious because my belly almost completely covers up little Cathy!!!

Saturday morning I headed out to Orange County to visit Tasha. It was a lovely drive that I had alloted an hour and a half to make, but it only took an hour and 15 minutes (thank you traffic angels)! We spent all of about FOUR hours catching up about everything under the sun! I'm so happy that we were finally able to connect in person, it had been about a year since we last hung out.

Sunday was all about our baby girl. Last weekend we purchased her bedroom furniture and it arrived last Thursday. We were not expecting to get her furniture so soon but were able to get the exact set that I wanted for about 40% off by taking the in-near-perfect-condition set from the showroom floor. Isn't it "funny" how things work out? Remember how I said I loved that set but was sticker shocked at having to pay about $2k for just a crib, dresser, and armoire? And after searching online and going to all the other baby stores, we ended up right back at the first store with the super nice saleswoman who had spent over an hour educating us on all the pros and cons of the different sets and weeks later we were able to get the deal of all deals! I'm definitely thankful for that little blessing. If you live in San Diego and find yourself needing new kids' furniture, be sure to check out Children's Land and ask for Lupe! So anyway, now that the furniture is here we really needed to get her walls done. Al spent days priming, painting, and prepping the walls for the wallpaper application. And he would have finished this weekend except....I didn't order enough wallpaper!!!! *WWAAAAAAAHHHHHH* So now we wait. Some more. And y'all know how patient I am! yeah right! *lol* Have a wonderful day everyone!
