I had to give up on the solid foods. After a week of trying to force her to eat, I just couldn't do it anymore and maintain my sanity. I dreaded feeding sessions because she would scream the whole time. It was painful so I did some more research and everyone said the same thing: she will eat when she's ready, just keep trying. So reluctantly, I went back to baby food. I did cut back on her formula though so she's only getting 16 ounces of formula and the rest of her calories are coming from baby foods. Every now and again she'll beg for what we're eating and actually swallow a tiny bite or two but the rest ends up on the floor for Graham to eat after she smashes it with her foot. *lol* The good thing is that she gained back some of the weight she lost and is still maintaining at about 21 1/2 pounds.
Her interaction with people is changing too. At the Memorial Day BBQ just a couple months ago, she was the life of the party. We went to a 4th of July BBQ on Saturday and she was just mean and nasty! The same people that she was loving in May turned into her enemies! She wouldn't go to anyone and pretty much wanted me to hold her all day & night. She usually says "hi" to everyone she sees but not this day. She wouldn't speak to anyone. It was awful. She especially didn't want anything to do with her God Family. She was hitting folks and everything! It was truly shocking! Luckily she wasn't ALL bad...she did manage to pull out some sweet moments like this one.
Aside from her lovely new attitude, Kalissa is learning so much! Daddy taught her how to kick a ball (maybe she'll be a soccer player), Qiana taught her to jump and she can climb down from the couch on her own. Although she mimmicks everything, she still isn't speaking. Just "dada" and "hi". Everytime I ask her so say "mama" she turns her head and laughs. Not funny!! *lol*
I'm really not sure what's in store for us. I'm hoping this new phase doesn't last much longer. As much as I want her to be a free spirit and express herself, I cannot put up with her being mean. Nope, I won't have it! She must be all kinds of sweet just like her mommy! <---hahaha!

Haha! Sorry. She is totally coming into her own. Thomas is that way to. He hits and throws fits contantly. It has a lot to do with pushing limits and not being able to fully communicate.
Thomas gets time outs... placed in the corner for 30 seconds and that seems to work right now. He also puts himself in a corner when he is upset. Pretty funny, but cool too because he is self-regulating. I know he is at a different place being about 6 months older, but just sharing.
All kinds of sweet just like her mommy! That's RIGHT :)
@Sara-I am cracking up at Thomas putting himself into a corner!! How do you keep a straight face? *lol*
