Picture Day!

A couple of weeks ago was picture day for Kali's preschool.  I didn't make a big deal about it last year or this year because we take 'professional' pictures of her alllll the time.  But walking her into her class on picture day this year, I found out that picture day was clearly a big deal to everyone else. The kids were decked out in their best outfits and I was 'this close' to turning around and changing her into something fancy.   I had to remind myself that we only buy the class picture as a keep sake and it's only a chest-up photo so she'd be fine.  Especially since I had even laid down her baby hair and stuff.  LOL!

Well....unbeknownst to me, there was a different photographer this year.  They sent home proofs of her pictures on Friday and to my horror, there were full body shots!!!  LOLOLOL!!  Here are her proofs:

Her too-short leggings, her dirty shoes!!!!!  Arrrgggh! I guess next year, I will take picture day a bit more seriously!  LOL! 

Speaking of pictures....Kalissa got called for her first commercial audition!  It was for a speaking role in a Little Tikes commercial.  Sadly we weren't available to go.  Obviously there was no guarantee that she would have booked the job, but the fact that she was chosen to audition for it makes me proud.  Her agent submits her photos and then the client accepts her to audition.  So to me, that means they see potential in her and it's frustrating that we keep missing these opportunities!!!  I'm sure she would have done a great job so the next one that comes up, we are going!  Yes, I know I said no more burning up the freeway to Los Angeles but I'm a woman...and I've got the right to change my mind! : )
