Father's Day started off with doughnuts for all dads at Kali's preschool. Daddy was soooooo excited (dripping with sarcasm) to attend the Doughnuts With Dad celebration on Friday. He said there wasn't very many dads in attendance so he made sure to interact with those kids whose dads couldn't be there.
Daddy's only request this year, as in years past, was breakfast and to be left alone for the day! Last year I tried eggs benedict which didn't pan out very well....so this year, he asked for a t-bone steak & eggs. When Sunday morning rolled around, Candy and I prepared his steak with scrambled eggs, toast and hashbrowns. Everything looked yummy and he said it tasted yummy so missioned accomplished!
We continued the theme of letting him have his favorite foods all day while trying not to need him for anything. It was a low-key day...just the way he likes things. We tried to show him just how much we love him and appreciate him and I think he received the message!
