Madagascar Live!

Ever since Kalissa spotted the "Madagascar Live!" sign at Sea World last month, she has been counting down the days until she could see her "best friend Marty!".  She watches all three Madagascar movies over and over again and was so excited that they were coming to Sea World for a live performance.  So yesterday, we all took a trip to the park so she could see her friends (she swears that Marty the zebra is her best friend and even asked if he could come home with us). 

We looked ahead and chose to go to the 7:00 showing and then stay at the park after dark for the fireworks since she's never seen fireworks before.  Unfortuantely, since it was a new production, the line was extremely long and the theater filled up without us.  Sooooo, we could either come back another day or wait in line for the next showing which started at 8:30.  Kalissa wanted to wait so wait we did.  For an hour and a half!  Of course I used the time to snap photos of her....

During our wait, I was hoping that this show would be worth it...one of the park attendants told me the show was 25 minutes.  *sigh*  Once the show started though, I took one look at her face and knew if was definitely worth the wait!

She literally enjoyed every moment of it even though Marty was not a part of the cast.  Afterwards, they announced the opportunity to take pictures with the performers.  As luck would have it, we ended up getting Alex the Lion for our photo opp!

Another priceless memory!  We didn't end up staying for the fireworks though...I guess we'll catch them another night.
