A Happy Camper

This weekend, we got a much anticipated visit from Kali's sisters. It's been 9 months since they last saw each other but Kali never ever forgot them. In fact, for about the last month or so she would say "I want my stisters" (yes, she adds an extra "t" in the pronunciation) over and over again. It was heartbreaking because we couldn't tell her when she would next see them. Well the wait was finally over! Kalissa was soooooo happy to see them and they were equally as happy to see her so we knew it would be a great weekend.

Next week is "Teacher Appreciation" week at Kali's school and parents can participate in one or all of the daily treats that they have planned for all the wonderful teachers. Monday's treat is classroom supplies. Of course I didn't just want to grab some crayons or tape so I did some research and found an interesting classroom supply store called Lakeshore Learning Center. It looked to have some really cool classroom supplies and as a bonus, they have free arts and crafts for kids on Saturdays. Well, Thursday's treat is a note/picture from your child to their teacher so that would mean we could satisfy two treats with one trip.  Sold!  Saturday morning we got the gang together and headed to Lakeshore Learning. Kalissa had a great time creating a card with the help of her sisters and I got lost in all the cool stuff this store has to offer. Qiana even bought Kali some little wind up toys that Kali became attached to. Awwwww. Of course I couldn't leave without some photos.....doesn't daddy looked THRILLED to oblige???
Next we had a little shopping to do so we headed over to the mall...and again, I had to get more photos. And once again, Daddy was less than enthusiastic to participate but I am definitely a "mommarazzi" and am relentless in my quest for good photos! I will not stop til I get my shot!
As we left the mall, I started reviewing the pictures and noticed that Candy had her shades on for all of them! Ohhhhh, but no! *lol* We must be able to see her eyes sooooooo....we're going to have to get more photos without anyone wearing shades. After filling up on pizza and a short nap for Kali, we walked over the park for some family fun and exercise. Then today after breakfast, we crossed the bridge to Corondo Island because, as I stated earlier, I needed to get my family photo op! Kali was NOT having it. She was tired and wanted a nap. It took forever for her to get into a decent mood and she didn't get into a good mood until she got to play in the water!
Perseverance pays off...I got plenty of great pictures! :) Too bad all good things must come to an end.... but try telling that to a 2.75 year old. Kali cried for over half an hour after Candy & Qiana left today. It was heart wrenching, but the good news is Candy will be graduating high school in just a few short weeks so we'll see them again very soon. And the bonus is, Nana and PawPaw will be here for that visit too!
