Theme Week

Yea! We survived our very first school "theme week"!  Since this is the last full week of the school year, Kali's teacher decided to have a little fun with a different theme for each day. I'll have to admit that I was totally in to all the different themes...probably a bit more than Kali was!  *lol*

Theme week kicked off on Monday with "Pajama Day".  Kalissa was soooo excited for this day!  She got a kick out of being able to wear her PJs to school.
Tuesday was "Mismatch Day".  I had gotten a suggestion from a friend who said to do different shoes.  I hadn't even thought of that!  We had a ball getting dressed even though it was a bit of a challenge to find her clothes that were an obvious mismatch and Kali especially liked her mismatched shoes and one sock.  *lol*
Wednesday was "Inside Out Day" and that one was a little tough for Kali to understand.  Wearing your clothes inside out is not cute at all so she didn't want any parts of it!  She almost started crying after I put her shirt on and she kept saying, "Mommy I want to wear this side" (pointing to the right side of her shirt).  I told her that allll the kids would be wearing inside out clothes and it's going to be really silly.  She liked the idea of being silly so she perked up.  I also bribed her with allowing her to pick out her own shoes.  To my surprise, she did a great job at picking a matching pair!  ...I've taught her well : )
Kalissa was also very excited for Thursday's "Hat Day" theme.  She knew from the very start that she wanted to wear her giraffe hat that Oma gave her.  I tried to talk her into wearing her fedora, but no...the giraffe hat is what she wanted!
And for the grand finale, today was.........CRAZY HAIR DAY!!!!!  Kalissa was sooooo excited because this meant she got to wear her "long hairs" to school!!  When I told her that she could wear them to school, she yelled out, "Thank you, Mommy!!!  You the best!!"  *lol*  What could be better than a faux-hawk with rainbow hair extensions??

What a fun way to end the school year!  Between the two of us, I don't know who had a better time with Theme Week!
