Wooo weeee! It is hot hot hot here lately! And for us, there's no better place to cool down than the beach! So to Kali's great surprise, we paid an impromptu visit to Sea World yesterday to cool down and have some family fun.
We tried to visit other parts of the park instead of just staying in the children's area like we normally do. This time, we visited the Stingray Lagoon where Kalissa tried her best to pet a stingray but her arms were just a tad bit short. Then we headed over to Dolphin Cove to get up close and personal with the dolphins. Before we knew it, it was way past dinner time so we headed home and Kalissa had a fit! In public! I promptly escorted her to the ladies' room for some "mommy time" and then we were able to peacefully continue on home without further incident.
In other news, yesterday I began my journey towards natural hair. I did a 'big chop' leaving only about 2" of hair on the top of my head. As my hair grows, I will continue to cut the remaining relaxed hair off until I am completely natural. So far, so good and I'm loving it!
The first thing Kalissa said was, "Mommy! What happened to your hair??" After I explained that I cut it, her next comment was, "Mommy, you look like Omala!" *lol*
