Last week I was surprised to learn that Kali knew 5 letters of the alphabet. As suspected, I had only scratched the surface of what she knows. Turns out, she knows about half of the alphabet. The other night, Daddy and I were playing scrabble and she kept rattling off the letters in my rack! Uhhhh…good job, Kali. *lol* I am so amazed by her progress and also a bit perplexed as to how she is picking this up. We do NOT drill her on anything. She comes to me with her little drawing pad and says “letters….letters”. Then and only then do I go over what I think she’s knows and then maybe throw in one or two new things. When I did an online search of when toddlers start to recognize letters, the results said around age 3. So the fact that she just turned 20 months old and knows half of the alphabet is just amazing to me. Here we are playing her “letters game” last night.
Gooooo, Kali! We are so proud of you!
