The Pink-Eyed Toddler

Kali battled her first case of pinkeye last week. We didn't even realize it was pinkeye because her eyes weren't pink right away. We noticed that her left eye had a little gunk in it on Tuesday but she was just getting over a cold so we assumed it was just remnants of the cold leaving her body. By the time Wednesday rolled around, her eyes were caked with matter when she woke up and the sitter said she was cleaning her eyes all day. So we called her pediatrician on Thursday and she prescribed an eye ointment over the phone. She said if it didn't clear in 24 hours, then we would need to bring her in. Needless to say, applying the ointment was no fun. Kalissa screamed bloody murder each time. *arrrgggh* Thankfully it worked and the pinkeye is gone!

Notice she has a nice gash on her forehead. She got that after being so excited to see her sisters last week that she ran right into the corner of the linen closet. aye yi yi!
