Got Party?

Yesterday was so much fun! I'm sure a lot of it had to do with our 81 degree weather, but most of it was because of our little party girl! Pamela threw a birthday party for our dear friend (and one of Kalissa's Aunties), Katrina. And of course, Kali was ready for action! We almost didn't go because, well...let's face it -- parties are no place for toddlers. Especially the way my folks party. But Kalissa is ALWAYS invited....in fact, I don't think we would be allowed to attend without her!

As soon as I got her dressed, I knew it was going to be a good day. She LOVED her outfit. She kept twirling around in the mirror, checking herself out. *lol* Daddy has said that I don't put her in enough dresses but I never wanted to cramp her style. Pants just seem much more comfy for a toddler on the go. But after her reaction to her skirt, maybe I'll rethink her wardrobe a bit. She stayed wide awake for the 45 minute car ride too and as soon as she walked in the door...PARTY ON!

She went from person to person getting way too much love (if there is such a thing) along the way. These group of friends have known me since I was 16....and I think it was strange for them to see me on high alert and not drinking. Seriously "mommy mode"! *lol* Violet was like, "wow...it's weird seeing you like this! I remember when you used to..." Ummm yeah, I remember too! *lol* All that has changed and I don't even miss it! If anything were to happen to Kali and I couldn't react or wasn't watching her because I was drinking, I would never forgive myself so I just don't do it. I had my day and now I let Kali have her shine, which she loves! You know a party ain't a party unless Kali gets to dance:

You would think she would be afraid of how loud everyone is, but not at all. She's a ham! Gotta love her!
