In other news...this past Sunday, Al and I drove up to Palmdale (a lovely THREE hour drive) to visit his girls. They were being baptized and they were really excited about it. The church had a small congregation (about 50 people-- compared to over 2,000 at The Rock) and the band was really good! Because it was a smaller church, the acoustics were ideal for the drummer. I thought for sure K.Rae would jump at the loud music but she didn’t. She moved around a bit but she didn’t really respond to it. I want her to appreciate music and I would really love for her to be able to sing, so I sing to her quite a bit but I know it’s not up to me whether or not she gets a good voice! ...but I'm hoping she takes after mommy!
The Baptism was very nice. After being in church for almost 4 hours, we headed out to lunch at one of my favorite places: Chili’s. We then took the girls for ice cream at Coldstone’s (I didn’t have any) and then hung out at the park for a bit. Here are some pictures of the day. Candie is 15 and Qiana is 10. I was a boob and didn’t bring a change of clothes for after church. I didn’t even think about it. I sure hope my mind returns after this pregnancy!!! Have a lovely day!
