Splish Splash...

At what age do you start submerging a baby in water for bathing? I surely didn't know the answer! It took me until just recently to put Kalissa in her bath. Up until then, I just sponged her off. I don't know what I was waiting for...she stopped crying during her sponge offs a long time ago so I knew she wouldn't mind being put in her bath. I suppose I'm just a creature of habit and honestly, sponging is quick and easy...it's not like she's rolling around in the grass yet!

At the suggestion of her Nana in St. Louis, we pulled out Kalissa's bathtub (a shower gift from our friends Teddy & Tracy who just welcomed a little boy) and gave her her very first real bath. It was truly a family affair! Her Oma (my mom...Oma means Grandma in German) and Daddy were on hand to help me out and avert crisis if any arose -- thankfully none did. Y'all know I'm knew at this! *lol*

Here's our little sweetheart enjoying the moment. I've been using her bath ever since and she loves it!

Baths are so much fun!
Does Al come up behind you to check the temperature of the water while you're giving her a bath? NO? It's just my husband that does that? LOL
