We Are Family....

...I got all my sisters with me! That's what Kalissa was singing this weekend (if she could sing). KRae got her 1st round of immunizations earlier in the week (at 2 months old, she weighed in at 11.5 pounds!) so Al and I decided it would be okay to have her out and about on a road trip. I looooove, love, love a good road trip! There's something about being in a car, looking at the scenery, stopping to eat, etc. that I enjoy. I quickly realized that my previous experiences with road trips are NO MORE! The objective on Friday was not relaxation...it was to get there as fast as we can so Kalissa will stop crying! *lol* It took us 4 hours in traffic to reach our destination: Palmdale to see Al's daughters. Kalissa wasn't horrible but she didn't sleep the whole way either. I just hated that there was nothing I could do to soothe her when she did cry. I just had to let her cry herself back to sleep.

We spent Friday night and all day Saturday visiting Candie and Qiana. Qiana showed much more of an interest in being a big sister this time. I think she was just scared of Kalissa when she last visited because she was only a week old and couldn't interact much. Candie was hands on like she was last time and Kalissa loved all the attention she received.

Here are some pictures of us shopping and having lunch together. Our visit was way too short but we had to get Kalissa back home and in her familiar atmosphere before she seriously blew a fuse! *lol*
