And about 2 1/2 months ago, I had a long look in the mirror and said something has to change. Okay, that's a fib. 2 1/2 months ago I knew I was going to have to get into a swimsuit in front of strangers for Kali's swim lessons and I said to myself, something has to change! *lol* So I dusted off the old Wii Fit disc (last year's birthday gift from Daddy) and got to work. Some women might have been offended to receive a workout program as a gift from their husband (in their 8th month of pregnancy no less!) but Al and I are able to be candid with one other. I'm not happy when I'm carrying extra weight and he has told me he doesn't want a fat wife. Blunt, I know! But he also followed that up with he doesn't care if I never lose a pound as long as I'm trying to be healthy. Well until lately, I hadn't been trying at all but the time came where I was ready. Not for fear of losing my husband or any foolishness like that, but I was ready to look my best...and I'm happy to report that I am now 10 POUNDS LIGHTER than I was when I met him! I'll be 37 in a couple of days and I feel like I did when I was 25! And it only took 2 1/2 months using my Wii for 20-25 minutes a day and of course, eating right. About a month ago, I reached a plateau and had to step it up and switch to Wii Active. That program has been kicking my butt ever since....and I love it! I'm not quite finished with it...although I'm happy with the way I look in clothes, there's still much work to be done for that swimsuit!
Along with my renewed body image, I've experienced so many wonderful things in the past year. First and foremost, I'm experiencing motherhood. It takes the cake! I'm unemployed -- my choice but still a first since I was 16 years old!! I married my wonderful husband and we're on a beautiful journey together with one another and with God. What a difference a year makes! I am in a really good place right now. That's something I can say and truly mean it. My life isn't perfect by any means but I'm happy and I am looking forward to all things to come.

Happy Early Birthday! You look great! I would NEVER have thought you were 37, not that 37 is bad, but seriously, I would have though MAYBE late 20's! Congrats on your fitness progress too, you're inspiring me to amp it up myself!
Thank you sooooo much!! I have a big kool-aid smile right now. :)
First off, let me say, I have NEVER seen a pregnant stomach extend so far. I actually had to take a good look at that photograph. Truly amazing.
I co-sign the fact that you hardly look 25, to be honest. I am 37 and you make me feel like I am 45.
Might I add, the fact that you are actually 10 pounds lighter than when you and your husband initially met proves that there is no substitute for hard work.
The both of you must be ecstatic at your efforts. oh, I meant to add (in the previous comment) that it's neat how you dressed your daughter in a similar outfit and colors as yourself.
Inspiring post.
hahahahaha! My stomach was huge!! Everyone swore I was having twins. Thank you sooooo much for the compliment!! Truly appreciated. :)
You look gorgeous Karoline! Happy Birthday! How in the HAY DAY did I miss your special day? I'm a bad bad friend :(
Hope it was a fun time for you and your sweet family.
