We finally got it done. Up until yesterday we did not have a tree up. Yes, one week before Christmas and no tree! We've just been soooo busy and then there were sick days and the time just escaped us. So yesterday, before we did ANYthing...we made sure the tree went up! Kali, being the big girl that she is, assisted with everything from attaching the ornaments to putting on the star. She was sooo happy. She just kept saying, "Mommy, I made Christmas!" *lol* After the tree was up, Daddy and I went out for a marathon shopping session while Kali spent the day with Oma. We were gone for 8 hours -- with no kid!! On football Sunday!! Must've been a special occasion or something. *lol*
Thankfully we are all finished shopping and socializing so we are just going spend this week resting and waiting for Kali's big day. We haven't put any presents under the tree because she will rip them open! Even if we threaten her with a spanking! *lol* So instead of risking having to spank her, we just removed the temptation and will put the presents under the tree on Christmas Eve. That way, Christmas morning will be extra special in her little eyes.
