Back on the Grind

After a whole year with my little KalissaBear, I returned to work today. We knew the day would come, I just thought I would have a little more time to prepare for it. But when opportunity knocks...you'd better open the door!

Everyone thought I would be upset at having to leave her all day but I wasn't at all! We got to the sitter's house (my neighbor who's running a day care from her home) with plenty of time for me to stay with her while she got acclimated but we didn't even need it. As soon as Kalissa saw all the toys, she began clapping her hands and dancing around. That was my cue to leave! *lol*

I did check on her during my lunch break and Miss Nettie said Kalissa was napping after a morning filled with play. She said that Kali is just fabulous and soooo independent! This I already knew.

Daddy picked her up around 4 today and when I got home he was just finishing up her bath. Awwww. Then Kali and I spent some quality time playing and loving on each other. I could tell that she was glad to see me. After just a couple of hours, she was ready for bed. I miss her already!! But I know it is time for me to go back to work so that I can help build a better future for her. It just makes every moment we have together that much more special.
